Changing Masks
Changing Masks.

Once in a while I feel as if I were wearing one mask after another.

Trying to fit in, or simply making those around me happy.

Changing to their expectations of myself.

It seems sometimes that others know what's better for myself, or

What will make me happier…

But,  when I wear the masks that they give me….

I'm worse off… and I'm defiantly not happier…

Then I realize that I do better and feel better when

I see myself…. My own face, not a mask.

Masks are to pretend to become something you are not…

Sure it can be fun at times….

But why wear a mask, when your happy with yourself?
