I allways found this very interesting, the idea its of the end of the city of the gods.
After all the spanish came to and conquered... But its the catholic religion that put the end to the main thing.
In every coulture, their faith in there gods.
Now a days we dont, see sacrifices in the aztec pyramids.
So the idea of this pic is not so much as the end of the Aztecs, but the end of the actual worship of these gods...

there are some theories that put queztoatl was as symbolism for christ, on some of the accounts of him also being a white dude with a beard, but thats neither here nor there XD i can see the meaning still ^^
